This series is over

It’s game two and I’m calling it over. I can’t see the Raptors winning this series with the way we are getting abused in every aspect of every game. They show no confidence with the ball. Here’s everything wrong with our game:

Our players look clueless on nearly every defensive play.

Jameer Nelson has been tearing apart our D with ease. Turkoglu gets a jam on transition without anyone even contesting even though 4 Raptors were right there. Raptors continue to struggle to stop the Magic from getting open looks.

Everyone wants to do it on their own.

Our team is struggling and we need strong ball movement rather than taking quick shots or doing too much with the ball. I really think both Bosh and Ford are trying way too much with the ball. Ford with too much quick dribbling and Bosh trying to put the ball behind his back.

Not going with who’s hot.

We saw AP and Kapono light it up and AP came out of the game after about 5 minutes. Kapono comes into the game with about a minute left.

Fear of Howard.

We are playing scared of Howard blocking anything. No one is attacking the basket. You really need to attack the basket.

Continue April’s poor run.

One of the only ways Raptors would have a chance in this series was if they could forget how they played in April and get back to Raptors basketball. We are making a mockery of league. People must wonder what we are even doing there.

TJ Ford must play less minutes.

TJ Ford is obviously struggling. He must be limited to less time. He is having trouble shooting, controlling the ball and distributing the ball. GET HIM OUT OF THERE.

I’m also pretty surprised that Delfino has had this much time on the court. He’s very inconsistent and he’s obviously not having his one great game, he’s in his 10 before that where he’s playing GARBAGE.

Believe me now, Orlando isn’t as good as we see them, we are just that shit. As of right now we are only down by 13, everyone sees that as a pretty good situation including Leo Rautins but believe me now, as I always say “We are so f**ked, we don’t even know how f**ked we are”.

Bryan Colangelo probably already a little excited to tear this schmuck of a team apart.

  1. I agree with everything that you have said. They have to attack Howard and get him into foul trouble to at least have a chance to win the game. Maybe something will change when they play at home and get a few more calls?

  2. as bad as the raptors have looked this series, seeing how bargnani played in the 4th gives some hope. If bosh and bargnani can get going at the same time (A big IF) u force howard onto the perimeter and allow ford/calderon/bosh/delfino to slash and find shots for AP and kapono. Long term the small lineup isnt gonna work cuz its too draining on bosh, u need to get bargnani going for the raptors to have a chance.

When the raptors hit their shots the magic cant guard the raptors, nor can the raptors guard the magic…might not be the best basketball, but sure is entertaining

  3. Hey S, glad that you have something else to say besides “LIVERPOOL, GERRARD KING OF ENGLAND”, especially after yesterday, I’m not surprised.

Too many ifs and buts for my liking and with Sam Mitchell behind the bench, I don’t see it happening. We had 9+ seconds left last night and that was the play he came up with? Bosh could have been a decoy to drag Howard out to that position and Calderon/Delfino/Kapono/Parker could have taken the ball to the rim. I’ve also seen why the Pistons let Delfino walk over the border so easily. He’s the most inconsistent player on our team. With Graham, Brezec, etc you know your getting those 2 solid points and one rebound. This guy comes out with 20 one night and disappear for 10-15 games.

I also agree that Bosh will get drained, it was obvious last night. Ford should leave this team before the next game for shooting 1/8 in two straight playoff games.
